A little more context for every push
Velorix Arena explains Overwatch through the map, the team and the time available. We are an independent reading room for people who enjoy understanding a match.

What you will find here
Our articles keep the practical point close to the situation. That might mean explaining why a corner gives Ana time to aim, or why chasing a retreating opponent leaves the objective exposed. The advice is editorial; hero rules and balance changes should always be checked against Blizzard’s published information.
How to read our advice
Hero roles are introductions, and guides are suggestions to try in context. They do not guarantee wins or a particular rank. We distinguish our explanation from the official rules by linking to the relevant hero or patch page.
Keeping an explanation useful
If you notice that a live change makes an example misleading, the contact page explains what to include in a correction. We do not need your player account, password or private match history to check a public source.
